Home Assistant Unreachable on Chrome via Cloudflare Tunnel

Hello,

I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Home Assistant setup. I have remote access configured through a Cloudflare tunnel (for filtering and security reasons), but I’m encountering an issue where trying to access Home Assistant via Chrome results in the “Unable to connect to Home Assistant” message.

I’ve tested other browsers with the following results:

  • Chrome (local URL): OK
  • Firefox (external URL): OK
  • Firefox (local): OK
  • Android App (external): OK
  • Edge (external): FAIL
  • Edge (local): OK

The only pattern I can see is that it seems to fail on Chromium-based browsers, but I’m not sure what could be causing this.

I’ve checked the system logs, but there doesn’t seem to be anything relevant.

System Information:

  • Home Assistant OS running on a VirtualBox VM
    • Core Version: 2025.3.3
    • Supervisor Version: 2025.03.3
    • OS Version: 15.0 (It was happening before update to 15.0)

Installed Integrations/Add-ons that might interfere (though I don’t think they are the cause, just in case):

  • Browser Mod (I have the browser properly registered)
  • Cloudflare (seems to be working fine since, if it were the issue, Firefox wouldn’t work either)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
