Are you on 024.5.1 now?
You’re on to something. Accessing homeassistant.local:8123 via my phone works perfectly.
My MacBook is the culprit. I wonder what I need to do to fix it.
Update:
I think Chrome is the culprit. Accessing homeassistant.local:8123 in Safari works perfectly. Time to flush out the browser cache.
Start with clearing the browser cache on the MacBook browser. I’m on Windows, but we at least have eliminated a lot of possible issues.
Yeah. At least I know Home Assistant is stable and working properly.
I flushed the cache in Chrome and now it just shows me a blue HA logo, and thinks for a minute before redirecting me to what looks like the login page (but all I can see is a smaller HA logo up top and a blank page, no login form).
Redirects me to http://homeassistant.local:8123/auth/authorize?with a lot of URI parameters on the end
How peculiar.
Edit: it is the login page, took about 4 minutes to load the form. Still slow as hell even though I flushed the cache and cleared everything out of Chrome.
Yep like that
You can always try to reinstall chrome. I use Chrome, but it is a resource hog.
Uninstalled and installed again. No good. Same thing
I’m going to have to think about this one. At least we isolated it to a device issue. Feels like a security issue, but I’m not positive.
Appreciate the brainpower! At least I know it is just isolated to Chrome. I guess I can just use an alternative browser if I need to access Home Assistant. Thank you
