Home Assistant Updates and Restarts Not Working

Hi all,

I’ve had a problem with some time that the software updates (which require a restart) I’m doing on Home Assistant are causing some fairly significant problems. The restarts aren’t working - the end result is that I’m often having to force shutdown the PC and then reboot.

I think it must be a problem with my config of Home Assistant somewhere - but I’m not sure where to start (and I definitely don’t want to do a reinstallation!).

HA is running on Proxmox 7.4.17.
HA Core is on 2024.7.1. I’m on Supervisor 2024.09.1 (OS 13.1 and frontend 20240705.0).

Other than restoring a backup (which I do have but no idea when the issue happened)…is the best way to go through the logs?
And do I start with Errors or Warnings - there are a lot!!!

yes, that is the best way. Do a restart attempt and then look in the most recent part of the log.

I’ve got lots of errors in the logs!

It should say why it will not restart.
