I can’t set up the Home Assistant URL in System/Network in a way, that the Internal connection URL does show up in the companion app.
Whether I set it as automatic or manually it doesn’t change anything.
AKA if I look at the mobile app in the companion settings the internal connection URL stays empty.
This lets my phone at home, without a working internet, not connect to Home Assistant. My setup for the external URL runs with a Cloudflare tunnel. Any suggestions here?
Thanks now I got it. It seems to me that the documentation could be more detailed or actualized about this topic. I couldn’t find an explanation of how the settings in HAOS are related to the ones in the companion app. And I did assume that the local URL in the companion app is a read-only field taken from the HAOS settings.
Hello, SVD-NL and Lucode.
I Have the same problem, but I don´t know how fix. It is possible the solution was very easy, but I am very new in all this.

Hi @canipa5, In fact, it is pretty simple.
HA URL is the web URL, which you need to get from somewhere, plus using a service as a Cloudflare tunnel.
The internal connection is the IP address you use in your local network.
would enter it in to your local DNS records on your DNS server, likley your router. but, when googling all i see is duck dns for external access i don’t see docs for internal dns for lan only setups or off grid setups
