Home Assistant & Wyoming Satellite 101

Good evening all, weeks ago I finally dove into setting up HAS; ie Home Assistant + Satellite in my home. I am running the HA server on a PI5 and the satellite on a Pi zero 2W. For the portion of setting up the satellite, I following these instructions here The satellite passed both of the services; that is the wyoming start-up service, and the wakeword service, both services show-up as green status and up and running. But when I jump into the Home Assistant, to see if the “Assistant in progress” sensor is listening or “turn-on” when I call my wake word “hey_jarvis” sadly the sensor does not turn-on. Also, in must videos I’ve seen, there is a “off” text next to the sensor. However, on mine, there is only a “assist in progress”. Lastly, I am not sure if, I’ve missed something on the home assistant setup. I should mentioned, that I also added from the store, openwakeword, assist microphone, Piper, and Whisper to try the default home-assistant service, and perhaps this is conflicting with my satellite. Hence any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

**Today, after doing a little more tinkering with this issue non-wakeword detection I went back to see if I missed any thing and everything looks fine between my wyoming service and wakeword-service, and restarted the sevice. So when I hopped over to HS, I ran the wake-word ‘hey_jarvis’ again this time in my satellite assistant’s went from “idle” status to “listening”; however the sensor in progress did not turn on. So its obvious that my satellite is working and listening, but I’m not sure why the sensor in progress does not turn on. *Also what is very strange is that my home assistant lost connection after I ran the voice detection as if it crashed in some ways. Has anyone experience this before?

Did you follow the example to create and turn on the led service? If not you should. Also, on the wyoming-satellite service you can add to have a sound played when you say the wake word. The sounds are preinstalled in the wyoming /sounds directory.
Are you using a speaker that plugs into the board or one that uses the jack?
