Home Assistant Yellow Fan Enclosure

Hello folks,

Asking in case someone is aware or find something similar. I’m on the search of a Home Assistant Yellow enclosure, not the default one, that could potentially hold a space or ventilation spaces on the upper part so a heatsink + a fan, can fit. Examples:

Given this Yellow enclosure: Printables

Make room to substitute the default heatsink that comes on the package with: https://www.amazon.com/GeeekPi-Aluminum-Heatsink-Raspberry-Motherboard/dp/B092PMY7RC

It’s basically a 1:1 replacement with the addition that the enclosure, has room to drag heat out.

The board comes with the need headers to even support PWM management of the fan.

Best,

Does yellow have a place to connect PWM?

If you have access to a 3d printer and the chops to modify the file, you could use the “official” 3d files as a starting point and modify them:

The HA Yellow enclosure has no ventilation holes.
The Yellow IO board has no EMC2301 (PWM) controller and no fan connector.
So not much active or passive cooling. Please someone tell me I am wrong.

My plan is to solder a fan to +12v and print a 3D enclosure to accommodate it.
Anyone have a better idea? Cuz, this is disappointing.

Please add an active cooling solution to the generation after HA Yellow.
In the meantime… will be looking for a different RPi CM5 IO board with NVMe.
