Home Assistant Yellow Kit cannot install OS no Yellow Light!

Items Used:

Home Assistant Yellow Kit with Power supply

Raspberry Pi comput Module 4 - 8GB Ram, 32Gb eMMC, 24/5.0GHV wifi & Bluetooth 5.0 (CM4108032)

Ultra MicroSDHC UHS-I Card with Adaptor 32GB

I have attempted to install using these instructions Home assistant

But on doing do I get no boot up or any yellow lights to indicate the flash is installing onto it.

I’m just getting a red and green light no flashing at all or anything to indicate an error. I have a feeling its a faulty board and needs to be returned. Has anyone any clue

what might be up?

The image I put onto a 32gig USB which I have used many times before so I know Im flashing it correct too or I’m?!

But to explain here I will post images of the method I used: Using Raspberry Pi Imager v1.7.5
Other specific-purpose OS

Home Assistant

I have also tried to use the latest version from Github too with no luck with it either, no yellow light at
all on Bootup!

NabuCasa / yellow-buildroot

Do I need to return this device?

I’ve got the same issue. Did you get a resolution?

I have the same issue, did you fix that?

Same issue here. I purchased two devices, one POE and one with power brick for my daughters house. The POE device loaded perfectly, the power brick version failed with the red and green lights flashing sporadically but refused to load from USB. I and going to try swapping the CM4 module I loaded on the POE device over to the non POE device and see if it boots into HA OS successfully. If I can load the swapped CM4 module on the POE device that rules out a faulty CM4 module and ties this issue to the non POE model… I’ll post my findings later this coming week when I get a chance to test further.

Just curious if the above posts that had failures were using the POE or non POE kits.

Just got my Yellow PoE - same thing. Starts out with red and green steady, after a while green goes off and only steady red remains.

Just an update - got mine to work by reflashing the cm4.
