After months working flawlessly, I now find my Yellow has stopped working and only has solid red and green leds. No activity shown on green and no health indication.
Tried powering off and on a few times but the green led blinks once then stays solid. Nothing mentioned here - Home Assistant Yellow LEDs – Home Assistant Yellow
Installed to large internal SSD which should be nowhere near full. The yellow sits in a comms cabinet and is never disturbed.
Anyone know what may be wrong?
Thanks

Some things to try:
How is it powered? PoE or Power brick? If PoE try using a power brick. If a Power brick, swap another in to test.
Then it is time time try booting it without the SSD installed and see if status of the LEDs change.
These are all steps to see where the problem lies.
Thanks for the reply. It’s powered by a brick. Will need to check the supply spec to see if I have another, but I suspect it’s okay as the power light is lit and the ethernet port shows some activity. I think the significant thing is the single blink on the activity led.
One thing I had thought overnight is that I do have a daily full backup started by automation via appdaemon. That could potentially have filled the disk as it’s been running so long. Unfortunately I don’t have a clear-up routine.
Is there way to boot from a USB stick rather than the SSD without removing the SSD?

Try loading the samba share onto the yellow. Then you can go in and check the attached ssd via Windows File Explorer or similar program. It is what I use to copy off older backups into a archive disk.
The yellow is not booting into HAOS, so nothing is running at all, not even the web interface. Luckily I do have the backups copied to another device locally but that would involve resetting the yellow and restoring. That should get me going again but I would not know what caused the issue.

Looks like the drive is dead after only 7 months use. Would be useful if the status codes were documented somewhere.
