I have started smarthome for about 3 years ago.
Way of learning Philips Hue -> homee -> homey
Home Assistent is installed via the “deprecated” installer on an ubuntu 20.04 with deconz conbee 2, but I have also ordered “CC2652 ZigBee coordinator” for zigbee2mqtt testing. Although I have a raspberry I would like to keep it on my NUC.
Home Assistent is currently the best smarthome implementation I have used before.
I can write jinja, python. I can make stuff via gui and also by files.
It is so much intuitive, fucking great 
I hope it will remain like that. It’s really cool.
