Home Assitant Green won't restore from recovery image

My HA Green recently started failing to start HA after a recent update, and because I bought it not too long ago, I decided to just use the recovery image to start over. However, when I did that, I get an error saying the downloaded files are corrupted and I get this nasty kernel panic stack trace. Any suggestions?

I bought this on June 20th from Amazon.com if that matters.

Where do you have/get this “recovery image” from ?

There are a few url’s in Nabu Casa, howto troubleshoot/resetting your HA
Here is 1 of them

So i suggest you just retry, or try their recommendations

Couple of suggestions from me.

  • Make sure you are downloading the correct image from the official page.
  • Try a different browser to download the image, seem to remember one browser or its addons caused issues with large binary files. Seem to remember issues with Firefox addon but might be wrong. Try Chrome

I was following the guide here https://support.nabucasa.com/hc/en-us/articles/25161225495837-Resetting-Home-Assistant-Green with the images linked. I checked the releases from the GitHub repo and the image I used was the latest.

Retry and follow EBME2’s example above, also disable various browser extensions/addon , which could cause corruptions in downloads.

And ofcause make sure that the card, you copy/extracted it to is not corrupt

I’ve followed the guide as directed and I’m still not able to boot the image. I’ve tried a couple sd cards and no go. I’ve used wget to get the file too.

And you only have your monitor and keyboard connected to your Green ?

That is not the one you have to follow

Have you tried this one, as i posted above

Monitor, keyboard, and Ethernet connected, yes.
