Home/Away Status Bouncing

Since the last Android App Update 1.4.0 (77) my phone status bounces to away and right back to home and then a few seconds later to away when I leave my house.

Could the app be fighting with setting away status based on WiFi SSID and then looking to see that the GPS is still within my house zone and setting it back to home until I get outside of the GPS zone? Or something like that?

Anyone else having this issue?

I think this may be due to the zone based tracking. Here is what may be happening:

  1. You leave the house
  2. Once you leave the “home” geofence (created by the app from the “home” zone), the app triggers you as being “not_home” (away)
  3. The app then gets a GPS location, but the accuracy is such that the location still has you at home so you flip back to “home”
  4. The app gets a more accuarate GPS location which sets you back to “not_home”

Try it with the zone based tracking disabled in the settings and see if it makes a difference.
