Looking for a way to integrate home link with HA. Thought is to use a LiftMaster 850lm, this has three channels, that trigger momentary close switches. To get to Z wave plus, my thought is to use simple flood sensors, like the Ecoline, that has a wired sensor i could just cut and strip to use one the 850lm lugs. Anyone think this wouldn’t work? The ideas for use would be outdoor lights and trigger a door to lock, not unlock since my car allows homelink to work without a key.
What about a in wall relay like the Zooz Zen 16, are the physical switch throws seen as events? On the Zooz or other relays?
Heard from Zooz, it should work with just switch contacts and report changes in switch state. Planto use a 24vac 500ma c wire power supply to power both the 850lm and Zen16. And a generic 813lm remote to program the 850lm and the car, and provide control from another car.
How did this work out for you?
I just bought the zen16. Curious how well it works in HA.
I got all the parts and set it up, out of the box HA woildn’t see the switch events, but I haven’t updated the zcfg entry for the Zen16, there are some other switch styles you can set. Unfortunaly I’ve been to busy to try that next step yet.
