Replying to my own question: problem is the last reolink firmware broke 2 way audio. Downgrade to previous version fixes the problem.
Delay for sound is about the same as when I use the official reolink app (i.e. too long).

This is quite a late reply but I had the same problem with a 10s delay of the visitor notification as well as motion detection within Home Assistant as well as Scrypted with the Reolink Doorbell (Wifi-Version) and was looking all over the place for answers. For me the problem was, that the doorbell was in a different VLAN. I had to create a rule in my unifi network to allow direct communication from the doorbell to the IP of Home Assistant (with Port 8123). That made the response go down below 1s. I hope that helps others.

this really helped me out with the door bell intergration, but I see a few things in your Yaml that make me go hrmmm…how’d he do that!!!
can/would you explain the media player service <<—Figured this out 
and the Camera snap shot, specificly, the “image: /%path%”
has anybody managed to get the poe doorbell working with HomeKit including the button to open the gate ?
Recently swapped from the Nest Doorbell to Reolink doorbell.
I was expecting the packaged detection to function like the Nest doorbell, where it will notify you not only when there is a package, but also, when that package has been removed.
Unfortunately this doesn’t seem like a supported function on the reolink.
The package detecion entity goes quickly from Clear > Detected > Clear virtually immediately.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to use the HA integration to replicate something similiar please?

REOLINK is now an official supported platform, so it should autodiscover your camera
