Homeassistant doesn't boot without a display connnected to RPI4

Hi guys,

I’m new to homeassistant, is there a setting to disable the need of a screen to be attached when booting to homeassistant on the raspberry pi?
I’m using a Raspberry PI model 4.

Thank you,
Ben

You don’t need a screen at all to run Home Assistant.

After installation you should be able to login to the frontend by going to http://ip-of-your-pi:8123 from any conputer in your network.

Hi Burningstone,

I can login by the webserver, my problem is if I turn off the RPI and then turn it back on, it doesn’t boot to the point where it starts the webserver without a display attached.

That’s definitely not normal. How did you install Home Assistant? Which version are you running? Is home assiatant the only thing running on the Pi?

Yes, Homeassistant is the only application on there, I will reinstall it

Anyways thank you for your help and the prompt response!

I also have this issue.
brand new Pi, I was just reading something about them not liking to boot headless.
