after update from 0.96.3 to 0.96.5 and again to 0.97 I have wrong version displayed

I always update since 7 months with hassbian-config as you can see in image.

I suggest you try to update by activating the venv and updating that way and not using the hassbian-script method.
When I was running on a venv I always updated by activating the venv and doing the update using that method.
Enter the VENV and update.
