HomeAssistant with Rasperry + NodeMCU is good?

I’m newly learning IOT and i would like to automate all electrical devices in my room through HomeAssistant. As i analysed NodeMCU WIFI module + Rasperry pi, i can connect everything remotely. Though it is a learning project, i dont want to spend much on this.

Is there any slack group community for HomeAssistant / Rasperry Pi

Which Rasperry Pi kit should i choose (For example: I need to connect 4 nodeMCU with RasperryPi through HomeAssistant). There are many configuration kits in market.

Could some one suggest me with the best and affordable way to automate my home devices and lights. If there is any other also pls suggest me.

A raspberry pi 4B 2Gb will do, but more memory is always better.
Your nodemcu’s connect through wifi, so no limit there.
