HomeHabit Dashboard - Original thread

So I want to see my local files server but cannot because the web thing in homehabit will not let me do https:// it only lets me use http://

@czadikem Web widget in the app does support https in general (or any other URL mobile browser would support). Can you answer a few questions, so I get better idea about the problem:

  • What error do you see when using https?
  • What is the device model and android OS version?

Ok so in the app when I type a url in the web browser plugin in the app that lets you see a site like google.com I cannot type http:// or https:// because it already shows that http:// is in the url box.

@czadikem URL shown in the box is just an hint of what should be typed in. You should be able to type or paste whatever url you need, it will show that. For example this is “https://google.com

Hi, great app!

However I am having issues with my Lenovo tab3 running Android 7. It gets this SSL error almost every time I try to connect. If it succeeds it is “connected” for a few seconds before it is “connecting…”, then “connected” for a few seconds and so on…

Hassio 0.98.5
Tested on both HomeHabit beta 18 and 19 with the same result.

Edit: SSL from Letsencrypt via duckdns. I have a NAT rule in my router so duckdns domain works locally.

Also, it works on my Huawei Mate20 pro running Android 9.

I’m having the same issue. Using a Samsung Note 2 with Android 7 OS. If my device goes to sleep or is just not touched for a while, it will disconnect and reconnecting gives me the same SSL error. If I manually close the app and restart it, it will connect, then eventually disconnect again and connecting gives the SSL error, repeat…

@igorz Would you have any idea how to resolve this?

I’m sorry, is it available for purchase on iOS or Android?

Sorry for the late reply. Root cause of this is not known yet, so there is no known timeline for a solution at the moment. Several users experience similar issues, so this is definitely something that we will try to resolve as soon as possible.

The app is in beta on Android right now, not available for purchase at this time.

I’m just discovering HomeHabit and i think it’s the best app for Home Assistant! Great work!

juste one thing i would ask, it’s to have comma value for the thermostat. I can’t set 19.5°C fo exemple, only 19 or 20°C
