Homekit Aussetzer / Homekit dropouts

Hallo,

Hello,

I have a small problem with my Home Assistant and the Homekit integration.

After a restart, the integration works without problems. The current status of devices is displayed correctly in Homekit.

After a while, that’s not the case anymore. For example, if a lamp (not via Homekit) has been switched, the new status will not be changed in Homekit.
Switching the lamp still works, but it has to be switched twice via the Home app.

I have what could be a similar problem. I find:

Environment: HA, Apple TV, Nabu Casa subscription.

  1. If I’m on LAN homekit works
  2. If I’m out of the house it sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t
  3. If I’m out of the house HA continues to work

When I say “doesn’t work” I see two failed behaviours:
(a) “Garage is not responding” (I’d say this is a good failure)
(b) No response - garage goes into “Opening” state, but nothing changes

I don’t see anything in the logs. I presume somewhere between my local HA, Nabu Casa cloud, and “Apple” something is breaking down.

Anyone able to share tips on how to diagnose homekit issues?
