HomeKit Bridge thermostat, link sensors for current temperature and humidity

Hello everyone. I am currently on the quest to get rid of all online devices and make everything local through Home Assistant. I am also using HomeKit, but HA is main platform and then I just expose some items to the HomeKit through HomeKit Bridge (for the purpose of easy access by family members).

While I was able to do this for all items, I am running into some issues with Ecobee thermostat. While the pure thermostat exposure to HomeKit works fine and I can control the temperature, I cannot get linked sensors to show up above thermostat in the HomeKit. Please see picture bellow of how thermostat looks like when I connect directly to HomeKit. It shows both current temperature and humidity right above. However, when I connect thermostat to HA via HomeKit controller, then expose it to HomeKit via bridge, I only get thermostat control. The sensors do show up, but not above the thermostat, rather in separate section of the Home app where all other temperature sensors are being displayed.

I scoured web and HomeKit bridge documentation but I cannot figure out how to make this work. I did see that bridge supports linked humidity sensor, but only for humidifiers. Was anyone able to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

It’s disappointing to see there hasn’t been an answer to this yet. @dodjavola did you ever find a solution? I’m hoping to move to Ecobee from Nest, but I want to make sure integrating with Home Assistant doesn’t give a worse HomeKit experience than the native HomeKit integration directly from the device.

I just noticed that my Nest export from HA to HK does actually have the temp and humidity shown above the temp control, so I guess this might be a non-issue for me.
