I am strugling for a while now with the homekit controller to add a koogeek power socket, that I cant add.
Have tried many times to reset it and add it on my iPhone. Then deleted. Neither HA cant find a new device to setup and also manually adding it didn’t work.
I can ping the device and when I try to re-add it in the home application of iOS its asking to enter the pin. So you can say its deleted, but HA cant find it ?? IGMP is disabled and the network is working fine.
Have only could add it for once and now I keep trying and trying but no progress.
Have you tried adding a fixed IP address on your DHCP server? Depends on how you manage your local network I have found that typically I have much better success with my devices being discovered when their IP address doesn’t keep changing.
I have tried that already but without succes. I will give it again, but after what I already have tried, I dont have that much luck I think. Both devices I had connected onces, until I got problems with HA. After fixed I never could get connected them again.
Ah, OK. Hmm, I’ve read some recently that some vendors implementation of HomeKit is not the best. I wonder if this is one of those cases. Is your Home Assistant system and the HomeKit device on the same LAN/network? Also, is your Home Assistant system wired or using WiFI? Your might also check that your wireless access point doesn’t have any sort of isolation mode turned on that could be interfering.
Both are on the same lan network. HA is wired and the homekit device is wireless. I already checked my network for all the settings and turned even IGMP off, but nothing worked.
