HomeKit & HomeAssistant Integration with Xiaomi Aqara

I have home assistant running on raspberry pi and have installed sonoff basic to switch light on and off. I recently purchase Xiaomi Aqara (HomeKit Version) so that I could add automations in HomeKit. I have configured HomeAssistant as bridge into HomeKit so I have this light available in HomeKit. Now whenever the motion sensor is triggered (from sunset to sunrise) I have placed an automation to turn on the light. But unfortunately for some reason even though in HomeKit shows the motion sensor has been triggered the light doesn’t switch on most of the times. I pinged the sonoff basic to see if it was responding and the ping response was normal. Is anyone else also facing this issue or can assist in solving the problem

As I understand your issue, it does work some of the time. In that case, you might want to try the next upcoming beta 0.81.0b3 or 0.81.0 when they are released. One of my PRs was merged today that should improve that.

If that doesn’t help, you might want to take a look at: https://www.home-assistant.io/components/homekit/#troubleshooting

Yes it works sometimes. Just updated to newer version of HomeAssistant 0.80.3. I hope this fixes issue will update to newer version 0.81.0 once it is available.

Fingers crossed!

Thank you for your help. Will update here tomorrow if the new update helped
