Earlier this year Homekit controller was improved to support locks. I have a Yale lock (Assure Lock with iM1 Network Module) that uses the Homekit module and yet I’m unable to see it in my HA instance. Any clue what I need to do? The support documentation for the Homekit controller says to add it to discovery, but when I do that, the logs say that it’s now turned on by default and to remove it from the discovery config. Alas, I still can’t get the device to show up in HA. To note: I believe this lock uses BLE to communicate with my Homekit hub (Apple TV).
Go to configuration / integrations page and press the (+) icon lower left. Try adding a Homekit Accessory.
No dice. I see my Philips Hue bridge and LIFX bulbs in the list of Homekit Accessories, but not my lock.
In the HA Homekit Controller documentation it states:
If your device is currently paired with Siri, you will need to reset it in order to pair it with Home Assistant. Once Home Assistant is configured to work with the device, you can export it back to Siri with the
HomeKit
component.
I’ve removed the lock from Homekit so that I can pair with it via HA but still don’t see it appear in HA configuration > integration > Add Homekit Accessory.
BLE is not currently supported. It is being worked on, but right now you are out of luck.
Hi there,
