Homematic Hassio Addon - Connection Problems to the devices

Hello,

I use Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi 4 to control my radiators elements from Homematic IP. More precisely, they are the products HmIP-eTRV-2 (radiator) and HMIP-WTH-2 (wall). As radio module I use a USB stick from ELV.

For the connection to Home Assistant I use the corresponding Hassio Addon.
But unfortunately I have a problem with this. If I restart the Raspberry Pi (or disconnect it from power) or update the homematic addon or update Hassio, the Homematic addon loses the wireless connection to the devices. In the Homematic WebUI the devices are displayed as “Off”. To use the devices again, I have to reconnect the devices to the Homematic addon by a reset.

Has anyone here already had this problem themselves once? Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Please dont call Home Assistant OS “Hassio” it has not been known as that for over 18 months and its use only confuses new users. If you want an abbreviated term use “HA OS”.

Searching the existing issues for this addon I found this which proposes an alternative addon solution:

Hey,

thanks for pointing out the correct naming regarding the OS.

So a only alternative regarding my problem would be to use an additional PI with another software?
Hm… ok. But thank you

What?

No. It is available as

Remove the HomeMatic addon and use this one instead.

Ok, Sometimes I am a little blind. Thank you, I’ll look at it
