Homematic HmIP-BS2 2-channel switch - only group channel entity available in HA

Hello everyone,

I have several Homematic IP devices around my house, mostly light switches (BSM).

For my bathroom I decided to buy the new HmIP-BS2 switch which allows 2 channels to be toggled separately. I am using one channel for toggling the lights and the other for toggling the ventilation.

Unfortunately HA only recognizes one entity and calls it “HmIP Bathroom Group”.
This entity toggles both channels at once and there is no way to split them (which I want to do for some automations).

Does anyone know if there is a way to trigger each channel separately in HA for this switch?

Alexa does recognize both channels and I can use voice commands to toggle either of them, but somehow also the Alexa Media Player integration doesn’t show the entities in HA.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I just found a workaround for this!

In the Homematic IP app you can configure groups.
Within these groups it’s possible to add devices (such as the BSM actuator) as well as each of the OUT actuators of the BS2.

What I did was create 2 new groups, one for each OUT of the BS2.
Both groups are now available in HA and each has the corresponding actuator connected, which means I can now control everything independently.
