HOMEMATIC integration with HmIP-SWO-PR

The standard integration seems to read the wrong value from homematic.
The rain-counter is the total rain-counter (total in terms of when the device was added to the ccu3), but not what I would have expected the rain-counter for today.
Not sure if this is an issue or a feature request.
I have currently created a template sensor to read the information from homematic.ccu3 but would prefer if there was a direct integration with for example sensor.hmip_ws_rain_counter_today (which should equal svHmIPRainCounterToday_4807 from homematic.ccu3)

Check the technical documentation. There is only a value for rain_counter. The today value is calculated in your CCU and stored in the sysvar. So your template sensor is the correct solution.
