I bought a garage door opener by Homematic IP which is not officially supported. But for those devices homematic.set_device_value is useful. Setting the STATE to true opens the garage door but it does not stop or close it. But in CCU3 you can see that there seems just one state for opening, stopping and closing the garage.
My question is if there is an option to determine possible states to enrich my script?
just so I understand your question: You’re looking for a way to make your garage door opener work.
And for that you are looking for the correct values to call the homematic.set_device_value service?
Or are you trying to get a feedback of the current state of the device?
Yes, I’m looking for the correct values. Yesterday I had a look at the CGI Output of rpc XML but I had too short time and couldn’t find possible states, just current states.
I tried also short press via Channel one but it throwed an error.
Any help to figure out correct values is appriciated
Aaaahhh - GREAT! Really huge document But exactly what I was searching for.
Already found my Device and possible states - now I think I will figure out how to control it.
Thank you very, very much!!!
I think with this I will also write some scripts to control the position of my Homematic (not IP) shutters which is currently with the integration not possible. And if the rain some times stops shadow will be useful to avoid heating of our house. Currently I can just completely close the shutter or open it but nothing between.
You’re welcome! I also looked up how to control my HM-SEC-Win (the overpriced window opener), works great now The document seems to be updated sometimes, so be sure to keep that in mind
