Homematic IP vs. MAX! eQ-3

I’ve been testing out home-assistant for a few days now and quite love it. Still gotta wrap my head around a few things though

However, i’m still struggling with integrating my current MAX! eQ-3 System.
I see all my thermostats and their values, as well as windows sensors, but there is still a few issues that i can’t seem to fix. The documentation does not say much, and checking some blogs/videos i havent gotten much further:

The shedule programmed via the cube seems to be in conflict with hassio controlling the thermostats.
I guess i can only pick one of both doing the controlling? Or is there still a way to switch between automatic control (cube programmed schedule) and manual control?
Sometimes pushing the temperature up for a certain amount of time would really be nice - especially since i’m unable to connect to the cube directly since hassio is running (connection limit on the cube).

The temperatures displayed seem to be without the offset, set in the cube for each thermostat. This is very confusing. It seems that the actual temperature is higher than the target temperature, yet the heater is running.

The manufacuter of both MAX! and Homematic IP is currently running an old-for-new exchange, so it would be possible to upgrade to Homematic IP components with a nice discount.
Would they perform any better than the MAX! ones?

I’m still pretty happy with them, aside from the first ones starting to show their age, but if it’s a nice trade up i would consider upgrading.

Thx everyone
