HomeMatic OCCU USB on normal home assistant

Hi,

I’ve found a good tutorial to integrate the homematic usb stick by ELV into hassio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G85kOZtt_Uk (by @TobiasKarge ).

Since I’m using the “normal” home assistant running in a docker container on my Pi, I want to integrate it in the same way like seen in the video (no extra hardware etc).
Is there a way to do that?
I only found the homematic component which requires a running homematic server (you have to enter the IP), but no possibility to just use a local USB device.
Isn’t it possible to use a component for that if there is one for hassio?

Thanks in advance!

So i know, you habe to use extra Hardware. The USB Stick in My Video only Support the IP Componets.

IP components would be totally ok (I mainly want to use the blind shutter controllers) - so the stick would be enough. The question is how I can use it with the “normal” home assistant?

I am not sure if I understand the question correctly. if you have connected the components to the Homematic manager. You cam See they as entities in Home Assistant.

Now i understand your question. You mean the normal home assistant without hassio. Sorry I can’t say how it works in this system.

I’ve now built a docker image from the hassio addon and made it configurable with a local json file.
