Hi Homeassistants,
i am new here, hopefully i did nothing wrong to post here
i am using homeassistant quite a while now. For the last 1-2 years i am just using it and didnt read much new about it. Currently i am running it on a raspberry pi with manual installation. I used manual installation in virtual env because i am running pivccu on the same raspberry for my homematic stuff. I connected it in the classic way with homeassistant and currently i am using the homematic ui just to pair new devices and to programm basic heating settings. Thats for my actual status.
When i first tried hassIo, there was no really god ssh, no real access to the pi and so on, so i had no way to install pivccu beside hassio.
I just noticed hassio i called homeassistant (?) or home assistant os (i am totally confused) now, and seems the be having an addond to install somehow some homematic directly inside hassio aka homeassistant? Is that true? Since there isnt much to read on github, does it make sense to switch to it? What is the “hardware dongle”? HM-MOD-RPI-PCB?
Could somebody point me to the “best” way on doing this with current version of homeassistant? I also would like to install grafana for better graphs since i am comparing values of my sensors a lot.
Thank you guys.
