Homepod mini not playing radio stream

Hi,

I am trying to have my homepod mini in the bedroom to play a radio stream as an wake up alarm. But it is not playing the stream. I tried making a simple automation to test it on my Homepod mini in the living room, but it refuses to play the actual stream. Is this a compatibility issue of the Homepod? Or am i doing something wrong?
