We’ve added support for for the Sonoff Zigbee dongle to our Z-NET network-connected Z-Wave interface. With the addition of the Sonoff stick, this functions as a networked Z-Wave & Zigbee interface. Instructions on setting this up are in this guide: Z-NET Integration with Home Assistant
I have just bought my Z-Net device and Zigbee is working great! however I am having an issue getting the Zigbee stick to be recognized by HA. Any thoughts?

@HomeSeerMark @uhlwoogi Did you get anywhere on this error? I have the same issue with an old style Z-Net and cannot get past the “Failed to connect” error on ZHA. My Z-Net has been updated to Version 1.0.25.
Same error, did anyone solve it?
I am not able at all to recognize the dongle.

Sorry folks… missed the replies on this thread. I was testing our upcoming Z-NET PRO with ZHA today and ran into exactly the same “failed to connect” error. This new unit was flashed with firmware v8.0.2… so tried a previous build flashed with v7.4.3. The previous version worked as expected. Based on that, we were looking at the new firmware as the culprit. However, we then tried our SmartStick ZB (also flashed with v8.0.2) and that worked too!
After a lot of head scratching and messing about with settings, we realized the HA OS was horribly out of date (so much so it was unsupported), so updated that and the HA core and tried again. Bingo! Works fine now. So, if anyone is still battling with this (after a year!), give that a try. Granted, the hardware is a bit different, but the error is the same so might be worth a try. Here is the platform info for the tested system:
