HomeWizard joins Works With Home Assistant program

Yes, already got my P1 Meter and integrated it into HA without any problems!

Too bad they do not provide any downloadable template sensors, or sort of dashboard for hourly/daily/weekly/month;y/yearly statistics and cost.
That would really make them standout from all the others who sell these sensors for less…

I use the Homewizard P1 with HA and it has worked fine. But I would like to add a P1 that is located at a remote location without public IP. The P1 communicates just fine with the HW app cloud. It would be nice if you added functionality in the HA integration to connect to the cloud to get limited read access to the devices.

I would like that possibility as well.

I monitor 4 remote properties, while the owners are away. It would be great to connect the homewizard cloud to home assistant.

I see my Homewizard integration in HA is stil API v1, yet Homewizard recommend upgrading it to API v2 as soon as possible. Given the ‘works with Home Assistant’, is anyone aware of changes to this to move to the API v2?

Since today I have two devices from HomeWizard that needs re-authentication, but no matter what I do it won’t work. Is there an update we’ve missed?

@dressie, can you give some more information about the “what I do” and “it won’t work” part? I would love to help but I miss almost all information  .

Yes, of course! Okay, so I moved my Home-Assistant to a new server. And after a restore I got this message (in the screenshot). So, I followed the instructions, press the button on the P1 dongle and press submit in Home-Assistant. But, no matter how many times I try, it’s not working. On the other hand, it IS reading info from the P1 and the 3Kwh device.
Software versions:
P1: 6.0203
3kWh: 5.0011

I keep getting this:

And this for the P1:

Okay! Everything seems to be up to date, so that is not an issue. Can you take a quick look at the logs?

The best thing you can do is to go to the HomeWizard integration, hit the three dots in the top left, and enable debug logging. Then try to update the authentication method.

If you then disable the debug logging, a file will be downloaded. DM that to me (as it may contain sensitive information). I will take a quick look at that to decide if this needs to be an issue on GitHub.

Same problem here. Did you find a solution?

Did anyone try to delete the integration, restart HA and re-install?

I have one 1 phase and one 3 phase kWh meter, only for the 1 phase kWh meter I got the following warning message reported by HWE:

What is the current status of this issue, any link to its github issue pages?

Will hold the line before updating/repairing because I can’t find enough elaborating information about this updated authentication method.

Thanks in advance Duco for your insights/troubleshooting.

Same problem here, since I’ve upgraded from 2025.9.4 to 2025.10.1 (yesterday).

For me it worked. I do have 9x the 1phase version and the fix prompt doesn’t show which of these it is… So its quite annoying to apply as I need to press the pairing button all one by one.

I have two left I can’t seem to switch, as I don’t know which ones they are it’s really hard to diagnose where it goes wrong.

I am aware of some issues related to the repair. I will work on fixes for that as soon as possible. For more information, see HomeWizard update authentication repair does not handle multiple simultaneous repairs properly. · Issue #154012 · home-assistant/core · GitHub
