Hi - using an HA Green and have two Honeywell T9 thermostats in the house that I manage with the Resideo app. Seeing some talk in this forum about difficulties setting this up, and needing to use Homekit as an intermediary. Can someone please advise if there’s an “easy” way to set it up in HA for simple functionality like setting the temperature? I don’t need schedules or any of the fancy stuff, and while I can setup Homekit I’d rather not just so I can use them in HA. Thanks!
Go to the thermostat and in settings on the unit you can reset HomeKit. It will then display a new HomeKit code that you can use to pair with Home Assistant.

You don’t actually have to setup HomeKit. I never have. Just use HA’s HomeKit device integration to add the thermostat to HA.

+1 on homekit, I have a t9. 1st off it’s local, the honeywell integration relies on the cloud. From experience it’s not reliable.
Edit: fyi the temperature sensors suck. They rarely update and need a full degree (F), sometimes more, in order to change their value.
