How can I configure Home Assistant Companion on the Note 20 for GPS?

I have a problem, and I would like to understand how to best configure the Note 20 so that when it’s away from home, it performs GPS sensor updates not too frequently but guarantees that when I’m returning home, I have a precise location at about 800 meters, all while maximizing energy savings. So far, I’ve only been able to use the tracker when connected to my car’s Android Auto. When I’m on my motorcycle and the device is on standby, it doesn’t work. So, I think there’s a problem with the app’s background permissions, but I can’t find the solution… So, the problems are two… The first concerns optimizing the settings so that it doesn’t consume too much battery, and the second is that it should work even when the smartphone is on standby… Has anyone figured out exactly how it all works? Because I’ve tried to look at the documentation, but I haven’t been able to understand everything. Thanks.

if you have issue with the device tracker check the troubleshooting steps

https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/troubleshooting/faqs#device-tracker-is-not-updating-in-android-app

as you have a samsung device you wll need to go through all your device settings allowing the HA app to work in the background. They like to add multiple different options so you need to look for things like power and data savings etc…

to configure the accuracy and other features you can refer to the location docs https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/core/location#android-location-sensors
