I’m a newbee in the Home Assistant world and having a lot of fun setting up the integrations/automations/dashboards. I still have a lot to learn, so maybe somebody can help me out here…
I have a doorbell that is set up via the CloudEdge app on my phone (Doorbell is working on 2.4 wifi). Sadly I don’t see a CloudEdge integration in Home Assistant. Is there a way to integrate my doorbell in the Home Assistant environment?
(If the answer is technical, can you please describe the steps like if I’m a 5-year old )
CloudEdge seems like a platform that is sold to manufacturers, so that does not tell us much about the device.
The device might be a Tuya device, but it might also be something else.
Many of these Cloud services are linked to devices that make an encrypted connection directly to a hardcoded server on the internet and there are often no way to gain access for third party apps.
The encryption makes it impossible to eavesdrop to understand the communication and reverse engineering the device will only reveal the device end of the communcation and not the server part.
