How can I disable Synology Photos in Home Assistant?

Good morning,

I hope you can help me, as some of you may know in the last update one of the new features is that Synology Photos appear in the Media section.

This option does not interest me at all, how can I disable this option?

Thanks!

does it work for you at all then? with out extra config i dont think it does anything.
I only get unknown errors when trying to browse…

I am also not able to use the Synology Photos part. I have figured out how to browse to a folder of a photo album in the Media section but pictures do not render and I can’t figure out how to display them. I tried various picture entity cards but the photos / albums will not display.

In my case I did nothing apart from updating home assistant. And you can see the photos perfectly…

Finally I created a new Synology user to remove all the permissions so it doesn’t show up.

Thank you @jonathanathe. Can you share more about how you set the permissions to remove synology photos from the media folder? I’ve removed all folder and app access except DSM and it still shows…

Hi @dave-parsons, I am sending you photos of how I have it set up, I only have Survillance Station enabled to view the cameras from Frigate in Home Assistant.

I hope this helps, but by doing this, it works fine for me.
