How can i find what cpu my host has? I just see generic-x86-64

I have a Dell Optiplex 3050 think client I am running HASOS on and I am getting ready to rework my homelab and really need to know what processor and RAM this thing has in it. Is there a way other than hooking up a monitor and getting in the bios at boot?

Thanks for any help.

Option #1: Open the case, take a look at the hardware
Option #2: google Dell Optiplex 3050 CPU

Guessing this is a joke because they came with 12 different options.

No joke. You are coming from “I do not know at all what CPU is in there”.
Googling will lead you to information that allows you to narrow down the CPU from millions to just twelve. Maybe that’s just enough for your purpose, maybe not.

What exactly for do you need the exact CPU?

This conversation has gotten weird.

Is there a way in hasos to find the CPU?

Disassembling a PC and removing the CPU fan or telling me to Google isn’t really an answer.

Not sure if you’re familiar what CPUs do but different processors have different capabilities and in order for me to determine those capabilities I need to know what CPU it is.

Not looking for someone to tell me if I need that information or not.

Can you SSH to the box and do you have access to the command line?

ha hardware info

That might get you what you need.

Thanks for the help everyone. Turns out I can just enter the service tag number on the dell website and it gave me the info. 7th gen i3.
