How can I login without credentials every time?

I just tempted fate to upgrade from 0.72.1 to 0.82.1

With help from DavidFW1960 and tom_l, I got Samba and SSL working again. Then help from flamingm0e, got Node-Red working again.

I’ll do a stress test later, but it appears that everything is running now. Thanks guys!
I still have some add-ons to upgrade, so if those don’t break I will finally be up to the latest of everything.

Now, here’s my question:

How can I login without a name and password every time? I suspect that I need an SSL certificate and logon to https:, but could someone please point me into the right direction? Where do I start?

When you log in the first time (for each browser) a pop-up in the lower right corner should give you the option to save the login details.

As per what Tom said… it saves it for that browser and creates a token. You will need to do that from every browser/device you sign in from. So on my iPad if I use the iOS app, chrome and safari I have to log in 3 times and it creates 3 tokens and I don’t need to authenticate again. As Tom said make sure you save the login.

Thanks. I was concerned because I have an Android tablet near my desk used for a convenient full-time view of my HomeAssistant frontend. It would have been a pain if I had to enter the name/password every time it started up.

Not true. I have to log on from my Android tablet every time.

Well sucks to be you. I never have to login again unless I delete the access token with Windows, Mac or iOS. You’re doing something different with your android device I think…
