How can i make Z-Wave Entities Accesable to HA Main Overview

Hello together,

I am a complete beginner and still managed to integrate a Z-Wave device via an Aeotec Z-Stick 7 (firmware update is done) and Z-Wave JS Add-On. It is a Heat It DIN Rail 616 device (identical in construction to Logic Group ZIF 5028) with 6 relay outputs and 6 inputs. In the Z-Wave Add-On the relays are already controllable.

How do I get these entities displayed in the Main Overview of the Home Assitant?

Thank you very much for your help.

I’m not sure why you aren’t seeing what you expect in the overview dashboard. I’m not familiar with the device you have but, generally the controls and sensors of a device show up automatically in the overview.

I wonder if the device you have has entities that are ‘defined’ as controls and sensors. Maybe they are defined as configuration or diagnostic items. These don’t show up in the overview.

If you go to settings then devices and services and then the device tab and find your device, what controls, sensors, configuration and diagnostic items are shown?

In the ui you may press the three dots to edit ui and add a button

Hi templeton_nash,
the Heat It DIN Rail 616 device (identical in construction to Logic Group ZIF 5028) is somewhat hidden in the Z-Wave JS Add-On visible and the relays also controllable there.

After successful integration in the Z-Wave JS Add
On as a newly discovered device, however, the entities were not displayed/added in the Home Assistant main overview.

A restart did not bring any change.
Maybe this is normal, then the question would be how to make the handshake to Home Assistant…

Thank you very much for your help.

Are you able to check this?

i´m only see the software add-ons (in devices)

…hidden device is deactivated bluetooth of raspberry

Sorry @Hans3 I’m not sure.

You can only use zwavejs or zwavejsui but not both. This causing problem

Zwave jsui includes zwavejs

Thanks templeton_nash.

Hi tmjpugh,
now only is installed Z-Wave JS UI is installed. Raspberry is restarted…

Entities from Z-Wave JS UI are still not displayed in HA main overview. Attached some pics…

I can switch all 6 Relais in Z-Wave JS UI

I also can´t add “Running; CPU Percent; Memory Percent; Newest Version and Version” to main dashboard.

Any idea? Thanks a lot.

Control Panel of Z-Wave JS UI

Now you must start troubleshooting as if you just started.

Verify device and the desired entities exist in ZwaveJS using the UI. I think you did that already

Reload the integration in Homeassistant. Not sure if reboot will add any previously missing entity/device but I know reload will.

If these not work then make sure they’re not disabled

after that…not sure what else

How can i reload the integration without reinstall Z-Wave JS UI? It seems that this main entities are disabled:

Or have i configure the z-wave hardware (Logic Group, ZIF5028) ZIF5028.json file by editor to see the channels?

The groups you show look ok.

If an entity is disables in HA you can reenable it

HAUI >> settings >> devices & services >> entities
-use the filter to “show disabled entities” , strangely I needed to select the text and not the checkbox
-select the entities you want to enable and options will appear to allow “enable selected”. This can br done individually or several at a time
