Setup
- Home Assistant OS (everything up-to-date)
- Frigate in a Docker container on a separate machine
- Attempting to install the Frigate (NVR) integration
Issue
- The Frigate integration is installed via HACS
- HACS requires a GitHub account
- I created a GitHub account. The first thing I did was attempt to set up HACS. GitHub immediately flagged my account - message: “You are marked as spam, and therefore cannot authorize a third party application.” I have not received any explanation as to why. I haven’t posted or done anything, yet my account is essentially blacklisted right out of the gate.
- It appears I am dead in the water. If my GitHub account is a dead end, that means no HACS. No HACS means no Frigate integration, which means I can’t access certain functionality with my camera (Reolink video doorbell).
Request for Help
- Is there any way I can install the Frigate integration manually? It is open-source, so I would hope there would be some way to do it, even if not very convenient.
- If I’m simply SOL because of the GitHub account issue, does anyone know a way I can get two-way audio working from Home Assistant with the Reolink Video Doorbell without the Frigate integration?
Any help would be appreciated.
