How do add-ons get updated?

Hi,

I am sorry for very basic question, but I failed to figure out this by myself. All my addons (I am having 7 of them by now) have auto-update off, as by default. I am wondering how do they get updated then? I am running HA for about 2 months now and I have never seen any “New version is available” or something like that for any of those add-ons…

Most of them are infrequently updated. You can go into the add-on store in the hassio side panel and press the refresh button in top right corner and it will show ones with updates available in orange rather than green. (Only for installed add-ons)

Thanks! Reload button doesn’t seem to do anything for me, but all the add-ons I have running are marked green, so I guess no updates are available for them yet. Thanks again!
