How do I add MWC Ripple effect to custom JS/TS card

I’m using the boilerplate-card git setup:
[email protected]:custom_cards/boilerplate-card.git

When I publish the default card setup I don’t see the mcw-riipple html element or effect. Does anyone know how to enable or set this up?
