I guess somehow I selected “sensor.nokia_6_1_geocoded_location” as the sensor used to determine location for both mine and my wife’s phone. It should be “device_tracker.nokia_6_1” but I can’t seem to change that.
Maybe the only way is to completely delete them and start over but I’m not sure how to do that.
The phone is correct, it’s the sensor that’s wrong. If I delete the phones and add them again will senors be correct? Why would that wrong sensor be picked up in the first place?
Here’s a screenshot of the phones. It shows the correct sensor but map uses the geolocation sensor for some reason.
The remove buttons (X) are visible and I can remove the phone and add it back but the map still shows the geocoded sensor and not device_tracker as the sensor used for tracking.
look at your person entity for each of you and see which entities it is using for tracking. if that sensor is listed there then remove it. Then you can add your phone device tracker to it if desired.
It’s a bug that the geocoded sensor shows up there just ignore it. It cannot be linked to a person entity either. It is just a bug that needs to be fixed so the sensor does not show up there.
