As I can’t find it in the documentation - or I haven’t searched well enough - I ask it here.
I want to get the area from a sensor in lovelace, but can’t find how to get this value, ie the ID and the NAME.

Does this automation example help? https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/b3ogg4/confused_about_areas/ej1873u/
I suspect not. The area isn’t an attribute of the sensor (It’s a list of entities in the storage register) so there is no way I know of to “get it”.
Oh Yes, thanks for that info.
So, Area’s are there, and you can put devices into it, but with the current state of implementation and integration Area’s are pretty useless for other functions
I will work around the limitation and add the area’s by hand in Lovelace components.
I hope for a very nice integration in the future…
I believe areas come in handy for voice assistants (Google home etc…) but as I don’t have one I’m not sure how they are used.
