this model is wifi not BTE. also i think that means i’d need a pie with blue tooth for each sensor

That is correct, however the H5179 does have Bluetooth compatibility. There is no API for the Thermohygrometers, so Bluetooth is used.

You do not have to pair the H5179 with your HomeAssistant instance. The H5179 sends out a regular status message via Bluetooth that your HomeAssistant instance can listen for and report as the temperature and humidity.

all i have is wifi access points and anything else just doesn’t make sense, it would make more since to just stick temp probes to an rpi at that point. are there any ready made wifi hygrometers or temps sensors that are HASSIO compatible?
