How do you assign areas to devices/entities with no unique id?

I’m fairly new to Home Assistant and I recently setup the AlarmDecoder integration. It’s working great, but it appears it does not assign unique ids to entities which means you can’t configure it from the UI. So how can I assign an area to the entities?

Well that stinks. Guess it’s time to learn how to modify the integration to support unique ids!
