I realised (after what was far too long) that there are lots of things that you don’t need on your dashboard. As an example for your case, do you need the sensors on the dashboard? I would suggest not, so long as you have them working with an automaton so if a window is opened whilst you are away you are alerted, then the displaying of their state is irrelevant.
So, once you’ve binned off the stuff you don’t need, then you can start organising what you do need.
Personally I like to use custom_ui and custom tiles to condense it a bit further. And I have a ‘home’ tab that contains house mode controls and lighting for the house. Then I have tab for the AV remotes, a tab for the multiroom music system, a tab for each bedroom (the bedroom tabs only have one card with lights, music and alarm clock), and a tools tab.
I second this. I organized HA not by room but by topic: lights, temperature, security, everything else. In the everything else tab there’s all the stuff I don’t need but is there “just because I can”, like RPi vitals, DB size, wifi strength, network speed test etc…
Okai thanks for your ideas. I think the topic organization is good. I tought about it also but I have to be delete some items from the home dashboard. Thats too much.
Thanks also for the idea with custom ui. I will take a look into it.
