How do you recover from a bad HAOS update? (8.0rc3 - CPU pegged to 100%, web UI non-responsive)

Hi,

I have a HAOS instance running on Proxmox (originally built using this repo).

I did enable Beta repositories on HA, and I just did an upgrade to what I believe was 8.0rc3. However, the HAOS VM now seems to be stuck at 100% CPU and is non-responsive (i.e. web UI is not loading)

I did a reset of the VM via Proxmox, and upon rebooting, it’s back to 100% CPU, and the web UI is not loading.

If I open up the Console for that VM in Proxmox, it simply says:

starting serial terminal on interface serial0

I do recall that previous updates (either of HAOS or Home Assistant Core) seemed to have an option to create backups, which I believe was defaulted to on.

My question is - is there either some way to recover this HAOS 8.0rc3 install? How would I get back into the box?

Or some way to recover the backups from the VM somewhere, and restore that?

Thanks!
