How do Zigbee Devices behave when Coordinator is offline?

Hi,

I use a Raspberry Pi running zigbee2mqtt as a ZigBee coordinator. In my ZigBee network there also are some battery powered devices like Xiaomi Wireless Switches, Xiaomi Motion Sensors and an Osram Smart+ Mini Switch.

When going on holiday I would like to turn off my Raspberry to save some power. How does it affect these battery powered ZigBee devices if they cannot connect to the coordinator anymore? Will they try to reconnect infinitely and drain their batteries rapidly? Or won’t this affect the devices so much?

I wasn’t able to find an answer to this question online and hope someone can help.

Thanks.
