Hey guys! This is not very HA related, but more hardware oriented.
I live in a apparment block with a parking garage. The garage door is controlled by a 433mhz reciever/transmitter.
I got a reciever that i opened up (see the image) and have access to the button that will open the gate.
I’ve attached a wire from NO and COM because it should be “normally open” (aka the button should not be pressed normally).
But when turning the relay on, it’s like it’s resetting itself. See the attached video for what I mean. Like clicking on and off (the relay).
What am I doing wrong, and how should i wire this up instead? I need to make a connection where the red line is on the image with the remote.
Just to add: If I set a wire from one point to another on the remote (Where the red line is) it seems to work fine. But it’s as soon as i do it through the relay, it starts ‘clicking’.
have you tried the relay without any cables connected as it looks to me like its either not getting enough power to keep the relay closed or its faulty
It’s nor clear from the video, how did you set the confuguration pins? You should have the “bridge” (I don’t know the correct English name) on pin 2 and 3.
Do you have ohm meter?
You should verify relay state as button pressed.
If short button results in proper function, maybe you should also try Toggle Operation of switch. It should be same as Momentary/Jog when holding button but maybe translation error in instructions. For this reason I think testing with meter may also quickly answer this
